Here are my recommendations:
Ford Fusion – very nice car overall, superb on gas, dependable, and you can get either a new one or a bit used i for good price.
Mazda 3 – very stylish and sporty, good on gas, reliable, and fun to drive.
VW Beetle – since you like them so much. Don’t know much about these automobiles other than they look cute
I don’t recommend you getting a Jeep since their products have departed down within reliability and you’ll be paying lots of money just to substance upbound.
Here are some different cars to consider:
Honda Community
Ford Focus
Toyota Whorl
Subaru Impreza

Converting your Renault to a hybrid power drill wouldn’t be practical. I won’t say it’s impossible, simply it would cost several times what a spanking Toyota Prius off the showroom floor would outflow.
You could convert it to all electric, simply even that would cost anywhere from $10,000 – $35,000. It would require a lot of special tools, mechanical skill, and a well prepared workplace.
Your best bet it to drive the car very conservatively and install an aftermarket personal that reads out your MPG while driving. You’ll develop gas saving driving habits until you can save up enough money for one of the plug-in cars coming out within the adjacent few years.
Whether you have the time and money and you’re determined to convert your Renault to an EV, there is a heap if information and resources on the Web. Search Google for “electric transport conversions”
